Yesterday was the truck race and tomorrow's the Daytona 500, the day that many have been waiting patiently for but before we get there it's time for the Xfinity Series race! Tyler Reddick won the pole but after having to change a tire after qualifying they will have to start at the back of the field giving the pole to Jeffrey Earnhardt. Earnhardt is out in front of the field going into turn one. By lap three everyone is in single file. They remain in single file for most of the stage as Earnhardt still leads. With 1 lap to go Justin Haley in 2nd backs up to Ross Chastain and they go into turn three. Haley is clear and wins stage one!
On pit road Christopher Bell wins the race off pit road while Brad Keselowski is still in his pit stall as they repair a dismounted roof flap. He goes a lap down. Bell and Earnhardt is front row. Bell leads but Earnhardt takes the top spot back coming out of turn two. Austin Cindric wants his turn too so he takes the lead. Soon Brandon Jones, driver of the #19 Toyota is in the lead moving up and down the track to block. On lap 41 Ross Chastain drafts into turn three and becomes your new leader. Lap 50 and Chastain continues to lead. He wins stage two!
Keselowski is still having issues and Chastain leads everyone off of pit road. Tyler Reddick leads the field for the final stage. Keselowski's roof hatch has blown off and caution flag is out on lap 71. Reddick is first on pit road but has issues with fuel. Michael Annett is the new leader. 41 to go and there's trouble on the backstretch. Earnhardt tries to move in behind Ray Black Jr. but taps his left rear. Jr. spins through the grass and caution flag is waving. Justin Allgaier leads them back to green but Annett moves in front going into turn one. 3 laps to go and there's a car with a flat tire and in the wall but no caution. All but the top four are still in single file. Allgaier backs up to Jones and see's a chance but Annett blocks him.
Michael Annett goes to Victory Lane for the first time ever in his career at Daytona!
