Early Ending at Iowa

Chad Finchum loves supporting local businesses whether it's in his hometown of Knoxville, Tennessee or local to the track where he's at each week. During the past several weeks Chad Finchum of MBM Motorsports has showed that and this week at Iowa was certainly no different.

The first new sponsor announcement of the weekend was DEEI, who was placed on the hood of the #42.

Next up was Heartland Tire and Auto Center, located in central Iowa.

Also from Knoxville, but not Tennessee, is Raceway Tire and Exhaust.

In first practice, Finchum was 17th fastest.

For most of practice, the #42 "rocketship" as Finchum calls it stayed in the top 20.

He starts 22nd.

Finchum finished just one spot behind from where he started and was able to stay on the lead lap.

While running as high as P19 and fighting for the lucky dog spot, the left rear caliper broke bringing an early end to the day.
