A Hopeful Weekend Ends Early

Chad Finchum arrived to Pocono for only his second time. He loved it the first time so he was excited to get back behind the wheel there.

They missed the first practice but was able to get out on the track early in the second practice. Finchum made several laps and had nice speed so they were happy with the car.

For those who aren't aware, qualifying was a little different this time. Drivers were sent out in groups of three with each separated by 15 seconds. Once each group completed their lap and the last driver in each group exited turn two the next group was then sent out.

After making some adjustments between practices and qualifying, Chad Finchum started P26 and was ready to build on what they learned last year.

Early in the race Finchum moved 7 spots ahead quickly. While running in the 17th position on only lap 10 contact was made sending him into the inside wall. He was ok but it was just enough damage to end their day.
