The Xfinity Series heads to Circuit of the Americas this weekend. Last year we saw A.J. Allmendinger take the win while Austin Hill and Cole Custer closed out the top three. Will A.J. go back to back or will we see a new winner?
Xfinity Predictions at COTA
Each time NASCAR goes to a road course it seems like we see drivers at the front of the field that we don't see as much at any other track. There's also drivers that are at the front regardless of where they are. Austin Hill, Cole Custer and Justin Allgaier are a few names that come to mind.
In Hill's first start at COTA he ended the day with a runner-up finish. Often, people say a runner-up finish is just as bad as finishing last, but I don't believe it is in this case. Last year he led 329 laps and this year with only five races into the season he has already led 187 laps. He also already has three wins including last week at Atlanta.
Cole Cuter has competed here twice and finished in the top-ten during both of those races. He is already one lap away from beating last year's laps led of eighty-six.
Although Justin Allgaier struggled last year he took home a 3rd place finish in 2021. Last year he finished the season with sixteen top-five finishes and already has three in 2023.

My prediction for the NASCAR Xfinity Series at Circuit of the Americas is A.J. Allmendinger. He is always a main competitor at road courses and he showed us last year that Austin, Texas is no different. In 2021, he finished in the runner-up spot. I believe he will defend his title on Saturday.
